Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 10 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.57% to record EGP 280.955 bn compared to EGP 279.354 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.64% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 115.184 mn which represents 6.65% of the total trading volume today after 3.811 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 48.5 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.30% and 17.813 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.35 % to record 3.604 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.46 % to record 5.325 points.
