Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 6 July with decrease in the market cap by 1.39% or EGP 269.088 billion compared to EGP 272.868 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.38% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 392.150 million which represents 23.47% of the total trading volume today after 9.031million shares were exchanged capturing 0.99% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 32.1 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.60% at 17.429 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 2.66% to record 3.591 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 2.29% to record 5.296 points.
