Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 3 August with decrease in the market cap by 0.29% to record EGP 277.596 billion compared to EGP 277.405 billion at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.68% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 108.955 million which represents 6.32% of the total trading volume today after 2.501 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.35% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 1.3 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.02% and 17.507 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.58 % to record .525 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.49 % to record 5.198 points.
