The Central Bank of Egypt announced its decision to increase the maximum daily and monthly limits for transactions on financial inclusion accounts, prepaid cards, and mobile payment services (total of withdrawals, transfers, deductions, and purchases).

The statement indicates a raise in the daily limit to EGP60,000  from EGP30,000 and the monthly limit to EGP 200,000 from EGP100,000 for individuals.

For companies falling under category A with documents or verification, the daily limit increases to EGP80,000 from EGP40,000, and the monthly limit to EGP400,000 from EGP200,000.

The bank determines the maximum account balance for both individuals and companies. For small businesses or self-employed individuals without documentation, the daily limit becomes EGP60,000 from EGP30,000, and the monthly limit EGP200,000 from EGP 100,000, with the bank setting the maximum account balance.
