Suez Canal Bank personal loans grow by 33%, recording EGP 3.45 bn by Sep-2023 end

The financial statements of Suez Canal Bank for the period ending on September 30, 2023, revealed that Total personal loans portfolio at the bank rose to EGP 3.45 bn at the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 2.595 bn at the end of December 2022, representing a growth rate of 33% and an increase of EGP 856 mn, personal loans in the bank's portfolio, accounting for 96.53% of total retail loans.
Total Retail loans portfolio increased by 30% and an increase of EGP 818 mn during the first 9M of the current year. It rose to EGP 3.57 bn at the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 2.757 bn at the end of December 2022.
Moreover, total credit card portfolio at the bank increased by 11.1% with an increase of EGP 4 mn during the first 9M of the current year. Its value reached EGP 40.51 mn at the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 36.5 mn at the end of December 2022, Current debit accounts at the bank recorded EGP 82.8 mn during the same period.
It is worth mentioning that the total customer loans increased by 13.5% during the first 9M of the current year, amounting to around EGP 36.47 bn at the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 32.14 bn at the end of December 2022, with an increase of EGP 4.33 bn.
