Top 10 banks contributed EGP 58.13 bn to Mortgage financing initiative by end of 2023

Mai Abd El-hamid, Head of the Real Estate Financing Fund, revealed an increase in Mortgage financing provided by top 10 banks to approximately EGP 58.130 bn by the end of 2023.
She pointed out that the total Mortgage financing provided by 22 banks in the Egyptian banking sector reached EGP 63.729 bn by the end of 2023.
Additionally, the number of customers benefiting from mortgage financing in banks reached approximately 529.520 clients, accounting for about 96.41% of total customers benefiting from mortgage financing during the last year.
