The Egyptian pound index increased 0.373 points against the major of currencies over the week, it rose to 53.798 points, compared to 52.425 points at last Thursday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index increased against 5 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against Euro, Pound Sterling, Chinese yuan, Japanese Yen, Saudi riyal, and settled against the UAE Dirham, US dollar.
The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt Fell from EGP 33.99 to EGP 33.67 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate decreased from EGP 33.87 to EGP 33.56.
The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt decreased from EGP 39.45 to EGP 39.23 over the week's trading while the average buying price decreased from EGP 39.32 to EGP 39.10.
The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 21.27 to EGP 20.92 while the buying rate declined from EGP21.20 to EGP 20.85.
The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP4.32 to EGP 4.30 while the buying Fell from EGP 4.30 to EGP 4.28.
