According To FirstBank List Of Banks With The Most Focus On Retail Deposits As Of September Last Year, Faisal Islamic Bank Topped The List, Bank's Retail Deposits Accounted For 96.28% Of The Total Customer Deposits, Amounting To EGP 130.3 Bn By The End Of September 2023 The Bank's Portfolio Of Retail Deposits Stood At EGP 125.4 Bn During The Same Period.
The List Reveals The Banks' Strategies In Forming Their Deposit Portfolios, Emphasizing The Diversity In Offering Certificates And Products To Attract More Customers. The Ranking Is Based On The Ratio Of Retail Deposits To Total Deposits, Providing An Indicator Of The Bank's Concentration On Retail Deposits.
Alex Bank Secured The Second Position, With 71.20% Of Its Total Deposits Concentrated In Its retail Deposit Portfolio, Totaling EGP87.88Bn, While The Bank's Total Deposit Portfolio Amounted To About EGP123.42 Bn By The End Of September 2023.
Banque Misr Secured The Second Position, With 66.73% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 1.85 tn By The End Of September 2023, Dedicated To retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP1.24 tn During The Same Period Followed By Banque du caire, With Concentration Ratio Of 57.82% During The Same Period.
Commercial International Bank (CIB) Egypt Secured The Fifth Position, With 54.03% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 665.9 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Dedicated To Retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP 359.8 Bn During The Same Period.
alBaraka Bank Egypt Claimed The sixth Position, With 48.61% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Totaling EGP 82.3 Bn, Dedicated To Retail Deposits Amounting To Approximately EGP 40 Bn By The End Of September 2023.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt Ranked Seventh, With 48.50% Of Its Total Deposit Portfolio Of EGP 115.3 Bn By The End Of September 2023 Dedicated To Retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP 55.9 Bn During The Same Period, Followed By NBK Egypt, With Concentration Ratio Of 48.24% During The Same Period.
The Nine Position Went To Housing And Development Bank, With 47.22% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 95.5 Bn, Focused On Retail Deposits Amounting To EGP 45.1 Bn By The End Of September 2023.
AAIB Ranked Tenth, With 43.56% Of Its Total Deposit Portfolio Of EGP 326.43 Bn By The End Of September 2023 Dedicated To Retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP 142.18 Bn During The Same Period.
