The Egyptian pound index increased 0.257 points against the major of currencies over the week, it rose to 54.152 points, compared to 53.885 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against 4 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It rose against Euro, Pound Sterling, Chinese yuan, Japanese Yen, and settled against the UAE Dirham, Saudi riyal, US dollar.

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt Fell from EGP 33.45 to EGP 33.27 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate decreased from EGP 33.33 to EGP 33.15.

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt decreased from EGP 39.21 to EGP 38.97 over the week's trading while the average buying price decreased from EGP 39.08 to EGP 38.84.

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 21.03 to EGP 20.72 while the buying rate declined from EGP20.96 to EGP 20.66.
