Elsewedy and HD Bank Technical Academy launching in Sadat City

Housing and Development Bank and Elsewedy held a strategic partnership to construct and launch "Elsewedy and HD Bank Technical Academy" in Sadat City, Menoufia.

This is within the framework of the Bank's endeavour to be a responsible and effective member of society and its contribution to the advancement of the educational sector, especially technical education, as well as the endeavour of Elsewedy to grow and expand in the governorates of the Republic.

This aims to increase the efficiency of young people and provide them with practical training (80%) to meet the actual needs of the local and international labour market and the shared vision to promote technical education in Egypt and support the Egyptian economy.

The opening was witnessed by Hassan Ghanem, Chief Executive Officer of HD Bank, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Engineer Ahmed Elsewedy, Chief Executive Officer of Elsewedy Electric Company.

Elsewedy and HD Bank Technical Academy was built on 3250 square meters, offering a distinct and advanced learning experience and environment provided with the latest educational means, so that approximately 1,350 students can obtain a unique technical education that includes 80% of practical training in partner factories with 20% theoretical study within the academy. In addition, the Academy implements training programmes in cooperation with more than one partner at the local and international levels in the industrial field, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of current employment and meeting the evolving labour market needs.

In this context, Hassan Ghanem, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of HD Bank, expressed his pleasure at the strategic partnership between his bank and Elsewedy, which is one of the leading companies in providing technical education and innovative training, in accordance with the latest international standards adopted that qualify them to meet the needs of the labour market with high competitiveness.

Ghanem added that the construction and launch of "Elsewedy and HD Bank Technical Academy ", is part of his Bank's belief that the fundamental pillar of a comprehensive social and economic renaissance and the operationalization of sustainable development goals is to contribute to the development and support of the educational process to create a conscious generation capable of advancing society. Elsewedy stated that the Academy's endeavour to develop the field of technical education and training in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, with a view to preparing a new generation of professionals qualified to enter the local and international labour market, by providing outstanding educational quality in accordance with international standards."

The Academy's students are awarded three certificates, a diploma certificate approved by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, a international certificate approved by The German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Egypt in addition to a certificate of English from the University of Cambridge, the Academy also allows the study of various disciplines such as Logistics, mechanical operation and maintenance, electrical installations, networks and information technology, with the aim of expanding the creation of new study disciplines.
