NBE received The Middle East Diversity Initiative Award for 2024

NBE’s Legal group has received The Middle East Diversity Initiative Award of the year from Middle East legal Awards in the field of "Initiative and diversity" for the year 2024 from the prestigious international foundation "LAW.COM International", which organizes many international events and activities and give multiple awards to distinguish legal teams worldwide.

Hisham Okasha, Chairman. Executive of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), expressed his pride in receiving this award by the Middle East Legal Awards, which supports the trust and appreciation of international institutions in the management systems and standards of the NBE as a pillar of the Egyptian economy.

He added that this reflects the efficiency of the work team of the Bank's legal group and enhances the leadership of the National Bank of Egypt in conformity with international best practices and standards in modern legal methods and procedures and controls that keep pace with the global development in this area and applied in major financial and banking institutions.

He explained that this is done in the framework of the legal group's partnership with various other groups of the Bank in the conduct of the business and the association of all the teams to achieve the highest quality and efficiency in the banking services provided to customers, thereby contributing to the achievement of the goals and strategies of the Bank at the highest efficiency rates, noting the interest of the Executive Management of the NBE and its continuous effort to increase the efficiency of the business to provide the best banking services.

Ashraf Shaaban, Group Legal Head of the National Bank of Egypt, added: The Bank's success in receiving this award reflects the efforts of all human resources and the competencies trained in the legal group with its litigation and legal support. That strengthened the role of the National Bank of Egypt in adopting and applying international best practices to keep pace with what is new in the legal field and work to find legal solutions for risk management, reflecting the diversity and initiatives offered by the legal team of the National Bank of Egypt to maintain its leadership in the Egyptian banking market. The award of the legal group was received by Tariq Al Ghazali, General Manager of the Bank's representative office in the UAE, during the annual event held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on April 25, in the presence of representatives of legal teams and groups operating in major financial institutions, companies and international bodies, as well as international law firms operating in the Middle East. National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is the only Egyptian financial institution that has been nominated for several awards at this important event.

The NBE Legal Group has achieved many achievements at the regional and international levels and has won several awards, including:

* Best Banking and Finance Legal Group Award 2023 at the Middle East Legal Teams level from The Legal Era Middle East, Dubai.

* Best Legal Group Award for 2022 at the level of legal teams working in the field of banking and financial services, Middle East and North Africa from the prestigious Legal Community MENA International Foundation.
