CBE’s net profit records EGP 80.23 bn during January 2024

The statement of financial position for the Central Bank of Egypt, ending on January 31, 2024, reveled net profits at CBE recorded EGP 80.530 bn in January 2024, compared to EGP 98.070 bn during last December.

CBE’s total assets grew by 5.66% during the last month, reaching EGP 5.107 tn by the end of January 2024, compared to EGP 4.834 tn by the end of December 2023.

In addition, CBE’s balances with banks rose by 0.73% during the last month, totaling around EGP 519.855 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 515.855 bn by the end of December 2022.

Regarding the contributions of CBE in the capital of international financial corporates, its contributions amounting to EGP 22.641 bn at the end of January 2024.
