CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate declined to 31.2% by January 2024 end

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced, on its official website a little while ago, the decline in the annual inflation rate for commodity prices in the total republic during January 2024 to 31.2%, compared to 35.2% at the end of 2023.
The most important reasons for this decline are due to the decrease in prices of the group of vegetables by (0.08%), the change in prices of the group of meat and poultry by (2.9%), the group of grains and bread by 3.7%), In addition, group of dairy, cheese and eggs fell by (2.6%)
Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics indicated that the monthly inflation rate for the total republic recorded 1.7% during January 2024, compared to 1.2% during the previous December.
