CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate declined to 35.2% by end of 2023

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced, on its official website a little while ago, the decline in the annual inflation rate for commodity prices in the total republic during December 2023 to 35.2%, compared to 36.4% in the previous month of the same year.
The most important reasons for this decline are due to the decrease in prices of the group of fruits by (4%), and to the group of vegetables by (5.3%). the change in prices of the group of meat and poultry by (1.7%), the group of grains and bread by 4.5%),
In addition, group of dairy, cheese and eggs fell by (1.7%), and the group of ready-made clothes by 2%). sugar and sugary foods group fell by 2%, coffee, tea, and cocoa group declined by 1.6%.
Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics indicated that the monthly inflation rate for the total republic recorded 1.2% during December 2023, compared to 0.09% during the previous November.
