CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate fell to 38.5% by October-2023end

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced, on its official website a little while ago, the decline in the annual inflation rate for commodity prices in the total republic during last September to 38.5%, compared to 40.3% in the previous month of the same year.

The most important reasons for this decline are due to the decrease in prices of the group of grains and bread by (0.6%), and the group of fruits by (2.9%), and to the group of vegetables by (2.5%), and the decline in prices of the group of alcoholic beverages by (0.1%).

Prices of the group of products, devices and medical equipment also decreased by (0.1%), in addition to the stability of prices of the group of postal services, and the group of fax and telephone services, and prices of the insurance group.

This comes despite the change in prices of the group of meat and poultry by (5.6%), and the group of fish and seafood by (0.1%), and the group of dairy, cheese and eggs by (3.6%), and the group of ready-made clothes by (0.5%), and the group of actual rent for housing by (0.6%), and the group of household appliances (1.9%), and the group of glassware and household tools by (1.06%).

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics indicated that the monthly inflation rate for the total republic recorded 1.2% during October 2023, compared to 2% during the previous September.
