CBE: Gold reserves grow by 10.5%, reaching $ 8.098 Bn at October-2023end

On a monthly basis, Egypt's gold reserves increased by a growth rate of 5.94%, reaching $8.098 bn at the end of last October, compared to $ 7.644 bn at the end of September 2023, with an increase of $454 mn.
Gold constituted about 23.07% of the total foreign currency reserves, which amounted to $ 35.102 bn at the end of October 2023.
The Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) balance jumped to $371 mn at the end of September 2023, compared to $13 mn at the end of December 2022, marking an annual increase of $358 mn, accounting for 1.06% of the total foreign currency reserves.
The value of foreign currencies listed in the foreign exchange reserves was $26.635 bn at the end of October 2023, compared to $26.669 bn at the end of December 2022.
Despite this, it still accounted for the largest share of the total foreign currency reserves, reaching 75.88% at the end of October 2023.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt's foreign currency reserves increased to $35.102 bn at the end of October 2023, compared to $ 34.970 bn at the end of the previous September, with an increase of $132 mn.
