Egypt’s pound was down against main currencies at end of Tuesday transactions

The Egyptian pound index fell against main currencies at the end of Tuesday transactions at major banks.
The value of the index fell to 99.826 points, compared to 99.885 points at the end of the tradings.
EGP index fall was reflected by its decline against five currencies, among the 7 main currencies against which the index measures EGP performance.
The pound fell against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen and the Emirati dirham, while it rose against the Chinese Yuan and stabilized against the Saudi Riyal.
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt increased from 19.70 pounds to 19.72 pounds in today's trading, while the average buying price rose from 19.63 pounds to 19.65 pounds.
The average selling price of the euro in Egypt rose from 19.41 pounds to 19.45 pounds in today's trading, while the average buying price rose from 19.33 pounds to 19.37 pounds.
The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt increased from 22.30 pounds to 22.33 pounds in today's trading, while the average buying price rose from 22.21 pounds to 22.23 pounds.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt also increased, from 13.22 pounds to 13.24 pounds at the end of trading today, while the buying price rose from 13.17 pounds to 13.19 pounds.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt rose from 5.36 pounds to 5.37 pounds at the end of trading today, while the buying price rose from 5.34 pounds to 5.35 pounds.
However, the average selling price of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 2.71 to EGP 2.69, while the buying price decreased from EGP 2.70 to EGP 2.68.
On the other hand, the Saudi riyal exchange rate was stable at 5.24 pounds for selling, and 5.22 pounds for buying.
