Services sector the highest receiver of Emirates NBD's loans by june-2024 end

Emirates NBD customer loans grew significantly during the first half of this year, jumping by 18.96%, to 71.5 billion pounds by the end of June 2024, compared to 60 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with an increase of 11.4 billion pounds.

With regard to the distribution of total customer loans to the Bank, Emirates NBD has strengthened its support to the services sector, as evidenced by its acquisition of 37.31% of its total customer loans by the end of June 2024.

The industry sector ranked second for the Bank's preferences for loans grants, with a relative weight of 31.68% of total Bank's customer loans by the end of June 2024.

The family sector came third in terms of the bank's loans preferences, with a relative weight of 21.77% of the total customer loans of Emirates NBD to by the end of second quarter of 2024.

The commercial sector finished fourth, controlling 9.12% of its total customer loans by the end of June 2024, while the fifth and final position was the agriculture sector's share at a relative weight of 0.12% by the end of the first half of this year.

Emirates NBD-Egypt loans for almost all sectors saw remarkable growth during the first half of this year, with its loans to the service sector jumping by 23.37%, reaching 26.7 billion pounds by the end of June 2024, compared to 21.6 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

The Bank's loans for industry rose by 3.5 billion pounds during the first six months of this year, reaching 22.6 billion pounds by the end of June 2024, compared to 19.1 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with growth of 18.36% on a semi-annual basis.

The Bank's loans to the family sector jumped from 14.1 billion pounds by the end of 2023, to 15.6 billion pounds by the end of the first half of 2024, a growth of 10.42% and an increase of 1.5 billion pounds

The Bank's loans for the trade sector rose to 6.5 billion pounds by the end of the first half of 2024, compared to 5.4 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with growth of 26.69% and an increase of 1.4 billion pounds

As for the Bank's loans for the agriculture sector, it recorded Pound86.2 million by the end of June 2024, compared to Pound97.5 million by the end of 2023.
