CIB's retail loans grow by 15%, reaching EGP 69.1 bn by June-2024end

The financial statements of Commercial International Bank-CIB, for the period ending on June 30 of the current year, have revealed a growth in the bank's portfolio of retail loans by a rate of 14.98% during H1- 2024, an increase of EGP9bn.
The size of the bank's portfolio of retail loans reached EGP 69.06 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 60.07 bn by the end of December 2023.
Contributing to this growth, CIB's personal loans rose by 16.19% and witnessed an increase of EGP 6.88 bn during the first Half of this year to record EGP 49.39bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 42.51bn by the end of December 2023.
The size of the bank's credit cards increased by 13.39%, with an increase of EGP 1.38 bn during the first 6 months of 2024, moving from EGP 10.30 bn by the end of December 2023, to reach EGP 11.68n by the end of June 2024.
It is worth noting that the total customer loan portfolio rose by 24.27% and an increase of EGP 64.35 bn during the first Half of the current year, reaching EGP 329.45bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 265.10bn by the end of December 2023.
