HD Bank's corporate deposits grow by 23.4% during H1-2024, recording EGP 68.1 bn

The separate financial statements of the Housing and Development Bank, which ended on June 30, revealed an increase in the corporate deposit portfolio at a growth rate of 23.43% and an increase of EGP 12.92 bn during the first half of this year.
The Bank's corporate deposit portfolio was about EGP 68.08 bn at the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 55.15 bn at the end of December 2023, accounting for 55.94% of the Bank's total deposit portfolio.
The volume of the Bank's retail deposits rose by 16.27% and an increase of EGP 7.505 bn during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 53.63 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 46.12 bn by the end of December 2023.
As a result, the Bank's deposit portfolio increased by 20.17% and by about EGP 20.43 bn during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 121.70 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 101.27 bn by the end of December 2023.
The demand deposits portfolio rose by 18.12% and increased by EGP 8.25 bn by the end of the first half of this year, reaching EGP 53.76 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 45.51 bn by the end of December 2023.
The portfolio of Time Deposits jumped by 28.06% to an increase of EGP 4.12 bn during the first 6 months of this year, registering EGP 18.78 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 14.66 bn by the end of December 2023.
Saving deposits portfolio also recorded a growth of 12.37% and an increase of 1.06 billion pounds during the first half of this year, up from EGP 9.61 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 8.56 bn by the end of December 2023.
The certificates of deposits portfolio rose by 5.03% and an increase of EGP 614 mn during the first half of this year, after registering EGP 12.82 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 12.20 bn by the end of December 2023.
The other deposit portfolio also rose to EGP 26.74 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 20.34 bn by the end of December 2023, to grow by 31.45% and achieve an increase of EGP 6.40 bn during the first half of this year
