CIB’s retail deposits jump by 32.3% during H1-2024, recording EGP 488.8 bn

The separate financial statements of Commercial International Bank - CIB, which ended on June 30, revealed an increase in the bank's retail deposit portfolio at a growth rate of 32.33% and an increase of EGP 119.43 bn during H1 of this year, reaching EGP 488.80 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to 369.37 bn by the end of December 2023.
Corporate deposit portfolio rose by 20.59%, with an increase of EGP 63 bn during the first 6M of this year, after registering EGP 675.31 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP305.94 bn by the end of December 2023.
CIB's total customer deposit portfolio rose by EGP 182.43 bn in the first 6 months of this year, moving from EGP 675.31 bn by the end of December 2023, reaching EGP857.74 bn by the end of June 2024, achieving a grow rate of 27% .
Demand deposits portfolio also increased by 21.23%, with an increase of EGP 54.26 bn during H1 of this year, to record EGP 30.9.82 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP255.56 bn by the end of December 2023.
Time Deposits portfolio jumped at a growth rate of 42.48% and an increase of EGP 49.28 bn during H1 of this year, reaching EGP 165.30 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 116.02 bn by the end of December 2023.
Certificates of savings and deposits portfolio rose by 21.67%, with an increase of EGP 40.93 bn during H1 of this year, registering EGP 229.76 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP 188.83 bn by the end of December 2023.
The size of the saving deposit portfolio rose by 34.87% during the first 6M of this year, registering about EGP 144.76 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP107.33 bn by the end of December 2023.
