Housing and Development Bank topped First Bank list of most focused in individual loans during the first 9 months of 2022. The bank’s total individual loans increased by 59.11% to record EGP20.3 billion b.
HDB’s customer loans posted EGP20.3 billion b by the end of September 2022, while its total customers loans recorded EGP 34.3 billion during the same period.

The First Bank conducted a list for 11 listed banks most focused on investing in customer loans. The list went through the investment trends of listed banks, specifically on the level of total customer loans. The measure is based on net customers’ loans to total customers loans criterion, to give an indication of the extent to which the bank’s asset portfolio is concentrated into customer loans.
EG-bank ranked second after individual loans portfolio acquired 32.86% of the bank’s total customers loans. The bank’s individual loans posted EGP8.9 billion pounds, while its total customers loans portfolio recorded EGP 27.03 billion at the end of September 2022.
Credit Agricole Egypt was the third on the list after 25.85% of the bank’s customers loans were concentrated in the individual loans portfolio at the end of the first 9 months of 2022. The bank’s individual loans amounted to EGP9.9 billion while its customer loans portfolio amounted to EGP 34.8 billion.
Saib maintains the fourth placefollowed by CIB
In addition, Saib was in fourth place on the list as 25.85% of the bank’s total customer loans were concentrated in the individual loan portfolio during the first 9 months of 2022. Its customer loan portfolio recorded EGP 41.3 billion, while individual loans amounted to about EGP 10.7 billion.
The Commercial International Bank (CIB) came in fifth place, after 25.18% of the bank’s total customer loans were concentrated in the individual loan portfolio by the end of September 2022.
The bank’s total customer loans amounted to about 198 billion pounds, while the volume of the individual loan portfolio amounted to 49.8 billion.
