According To FirstBank List Of Banks Concentrating On Syndicated Loans At The End Of June 2024, Revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a concentration ratio of 34.11% of its total customer loans, amounting to EGP 42.07 bn, while its syndicated loan portfolio reached EGP 14.35 bn.
The list unveils the investment orientations of 20 banks, specifically regarding syndicated loans, and is based on the criterion of (syndicated loans/total customer loans) to provide an indicator of the extent of concentration of the bank's customer loan portfolio in syndicated loans category. It is worth noting that Faisal Islamic Bank was absent from the list due to the unavailability of this category.
saib acquired the second position, with a concentration of 33% of its total customer loans in syndicated loan portfolio, amounting to EGP20.27bn by the end of June 2024, while its total customer loans reached EGP61.43 bn during the same period.
AAIB secured the third position on the list, as its syndicated loan portfolio accounted for 31.60% of its total customer loans, amounting to EGP192.75bn, while its syndicated loan portfolio reached EGP60.906bn by the end of June 2024.
EGBANK come in Fourth position, as its syndicated loan portfolio accounted for 26.23% of its total customer loans, amounting to EGP41.85bn, while its syndicated loan portfolio reached EGP10.98bn by the end of June 2024.
As for the Fifth position, it was obtained by Commercial International Bank-CIB, with a concentration of 19.89% of its total customer loans in the syndicated financing portfolio, which amounted to around EGP 65.52 bn by the end of June 2024, while its total customer loan portfolio reached EGP329.45 bn during the same period.
As For the Sixth Position, It Was Taken By BANK NXT After 15.75% Of Its customer Portfolio, Valued At EGP 26.379 Bn By The End Of June 2024, Was Focused On syndicated financing, Which Recorded EGP 4.15 Bn By The End Of The Same Period.
Banque du caire Ranked Seventh, with a concentration of 14.76% of its total customer loans in syndicated loan portfolio, amounting to EGP28.43bn by the end of June 2024, while its total customer loans reached EGP192.71 bn during the same period.
Export Development Bank of Egypt-EBank ranked Eighth as its syndicated loans accounted for 14.71% of its total customer loans in the bank, totaling EGP 62.72 bn by the end of June 2024, while its syndicated loan portfolio reached EGP9.23 bn during the same period.
