Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 27 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 1.5% to record EGP 466.372 bn compared to EGP 473.424 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 260.328mn which represents 9.35% of the total trading volume today after 5.429 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.56% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.45% to reach 30.300 points EGX70 fell by 1.39% to record 8.428 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.33% to record 11.551
points.
