Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 16 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.02% to record EGP 497.263 bn compared to EGP 497.179 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.83% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 633.357 mn which represents 16.19% of the total trading volume today after 21.976 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.48% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 alone and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.08% to reach 30.918 points EGX70 decreases by 0.35% to record 8.641 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by  0.32% to record 11.835 points.
