Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 6 January 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.24% to record EGP 478.483 bn compared to EGP 480.773 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.53% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 175.455 mn which represents 5.35% of the total trading volume today after 6.220 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.49% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.84% to reach 30.238 points EGX70 decrease by 0.72% to record 8.435 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.76% to record 11.583 points.
