Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 27 January 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.7% to record EGP 461.337 bn compared to EGP 464.799 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.18% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

 The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 146.932 mn which represents 3.62% of the total trading volume today after 4.076 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.25% of the total trading volume.

 The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

 The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease  by 0.97% to reach 30.091 points EGX70 decrease by 1.62% to record 8.573 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decrease  by   1.52% to record 11.731 points.
