EBank's personal loans jump by 132% in less than two years, recording EGP 8.78 bn by September 2024-End
The Export Development Bank of Egypt's personal finance portfolio saw record growth in less than two years, jumping by 132%, to EGP 8.78 bn by the end of September 2024, compared to EGP 3.78 bn by the end of December 2022, registering an increase of EGP 5 bn pounds to more than double during that period.
Given the evolution of the personal loans portfolio at "EBank" during the period under analysis, it rose by about 67.49% in 2023, after registering a value of EGP 6.33 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 3.78 bn by the end of December 2022, with an increase of EGP 2.55 bn.
Last year, the portfolio grew at a growth rate of 38.73% and an increase of EGP 2.45 bn during the first 9 months of 2024, registering EGP 8.78 bn by the end of September, compared to EGP 6.33 bn by the end of December 2023.
The Bank managed to achieve record growth rates in its financial indicators over a short period of time, after its net profit jumped by 154% and an increase of EGP 1.89 bn over one year, registering EGP 3.12 bn in 2023, compared to EGP 1.23 bn in 2022.
Over the past year, the Bank achieved a remarkable net profit growth rate after rising by 80%, hitting EGP 3.88 bn in the first 9 months of 2024, compared to 2.16 bn during the first 9 months of 2023, with an increase of EGP 1.73 bn.
The Bank's total customer loan portfolio rose by 50.24%, with an increase of about EGP 22.51 bn, to EGP 67.33 bn by the end of September 2024, compared to EGP 44.82 bn by the end of December 2022, and the total portfolio increased during the first 9 months of last year at a growth rate of 23.3%.
The volume of its customer deposit portfolio jumped by 74.1% and an increase of about EGP 54 bn, registering EGP 126.85 bn by the end of September 2024, compared to EGP 72.85 bn by the end of December 2022, while the portfolio increased by 45.9% during first 9M last year.
The Bank's total assets also increased at a 76.3% growth rate with an increase of EGP 73.85 bn during the period under analysis, bringing the portfolio size to EGP 170.61 bn by the end of September 2024, compared to 96.76 bn by the end of December 2022, and during the first 9 months of last year the portfolio volume increased by 46.1%.
