Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 9 February 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.07% to record EGP 467.451 bn compared to EGP 466,508 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.40% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 146.321 mn which represents 4.29% of the total trading volume today after 5.351 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.18% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.01% to reach 8.709 points EGX70 setteled at by 0.09% to record 8.618 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.68% to record 11.864 points.
