Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 24 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.30% to record EGP 475.176bn compared to EGP 476.583bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.09% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 243.768mn which represents 10.11% of the total trading volume today after 5.869 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.62% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase "EGX70" alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.77% to reach 30.779 points EGX70 rose by 0.25% to record 8.419 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.07% to record 11.616 points.
