Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 20 November 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.03% to record EGP 475.793bn compared to EGP 475.638bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 387.491 which represents 13.33% of the total trading volume today after 9.432 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.74% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase "EGX70" alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.33% to reach 30.783 points EGX70 rose by 0.02% to record 8.353 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.09% to record 11.552 points.
