Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 18 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.3% to record EGP 474.734bn compared to EGP 476.391bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.92% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 240.121mn which represents 6.80% of the total trading volume today after 7.807 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.77% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.24% to reach 31.359 points EGX70 fell by 1.20% to record 8.456 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.22% to record 11.707 points.
