Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday,20 February 2025 with an decreased in the market cap by 0.54% to record EGP 478.225 bn compared to EGP  480.823 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.88% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 263.842 mn which represents 5.61% of the total trading volume today after 7.631 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.57% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.13% to reach 30.990 points EGX70 decreased by 0.32% to record 8.632 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.43% to record 11.891 points.
