Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday,27 February 2025 with an decreased in the market cap by 0.48% to record EGP 471.436 bn compared to EGP  473.727 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.57% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 450.984 mn which represents 9.90% of the total trading volume today after 7.383 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.46% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.07% to reach 30.794 points EGX70 decreased by 0.05% to record 8.688 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.05% to record  11.970 points.
