Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday 's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 5 March 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.72% to record EGP 473.364 bn compared to EGP 469.988 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.51% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 187.028 mn which represents 6.42% of the total trading volume today after 3.831 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.31% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.37% to reach 30.876 points EGX70 decreased by 1.08% to record 8.634 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.79% to record 11.944 points.
