Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday, 27 March 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.57% to record EGP 491.756 bn compared to EGP  488.961 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.64% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 216.248 mn which represents  6.37% of the total trading volume today after 4.067 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.31% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP  258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 0.89% to reach 32.026 points EGX70 increase by 0.98% to record 9.049 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.97% to record  12.462 points.
