Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday, 3 April 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.58% to record EGP 483.980 bn compared to EGP 491.756 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.36% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 180.441 mn which represents 7.48% of the total trading volume today after 3.162 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.30% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.02% to reach 32.026 points EGX70 increase by 0.47% to record 9.088 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.42% to record 12.514 points.
