alBaraka Bank, ADIB Egypt and Credit Agricole Bank, Top listed banks in focusing on direct loans by end of 2024

FirstBank list of most focused listed banks on direct loans by the end of 2024 revealed that alBaraka Bank topped the list, by 67.16%, recording total direct loans of EGP 60.602 bn at the end of last year, while total loans portfolio recorded EGP 40.698 bn during the same period.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank occupied second place by 57.95% of direct loan portfolio, as it EGP 102.740 bn at the end of 2024, while total loans recorded EGP 59.536 bn at the end of the same period. 

And the third place was taken by Credit Agricole Bank - Egypt,  direct loans reached 49.05% of total loans, as its loan portfolio recorded EGP 55.186 bn, while its direct loan portfolio recorded EGP 27.068 bn by the end of 2024. 

The United Bank came fourth, with 44.85% of direct loan portfolio, as it recorded EGP 31.185 bn at the end of 2024, while its total loans recorded EGP 13.985 bn at the end of the same period. 

CIB came in fifth place after the bank’s direct loan department contributed 36.53% of the bank’s total loans, EGP 389.575 bn at the end of 2024, while its direct finance portfolio recorded 142.330 bn at the end of the same period. 

It should be noted that all ratios and values ​​mentioned above are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank by the end of 2024.
