Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 5 May 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.1% to record EGP 476.460 bn compared to EGP 476.866 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.32% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 339.464 mn which represents 7.29% of the total trading volume today after 7.892 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.48% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.43% to reach 32.480 points EGX70 decrease by 0.06% to record 9.612 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.20% to record 13.058 points.
