Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday,17 February 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 1.43% to record EGP 480.905 bn compared to EGP  474.134 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 320.880 mn which represents 8.38% of the total trading volume today after 7.752 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.49% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.02% to reach 30.710 points EGX70 decreased by 0.25% to record 8.616 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by   0.03% to record 11.810 points.
