Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 2 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 1.1% to record EGP 481.780 bn compared to EGP 476.348 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.44% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 504.779 mn which represents 11.42% of the total trading volume today after 10.663 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.00% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.09% to reach 30.675 points EGX70 increases by 0.27% to record 8.397 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.19% to record 11.631 points.
