Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 9 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.2% to record EGP 454.956bn compared to EGP 454.136bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.88% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 372.427mn which represents 10.06% of the total trading volume today after 5.685million shares were exchanged capturing 0.48% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.33% to reach 30.520 points EGX70 decrease by 0.57% to record 7.236 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.32% to record 10.294 points.
