Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 29 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.20% to record EGP 445.711 bn compared to EGP 446.616 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.46% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 291.681mn which represents 8.68% of the total trading volume today after 5.419 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.64%, to record 29317.14 points EGX70 increased by 0.12% to record 6793.09 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.11% to record 9703.08 points.
