Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 30 September 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.1% to record EGP 463.816bn compared to EGP 464.139bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.02% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 524.257mn which represents 10.34% of the total trading volume today after 9.846 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.03% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.41% to reach 31.720 points EGX70 increase by 0.64% to record 7.551 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.59% to record 10.749 points.
