Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 25 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.7% to record EGP 471>876bn compared to EGP 475.176bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 629.584mn which represents 17.06% of the total trading volume today after 9.725 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.88% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.42% to reach 30.585 points EGX70 fell by 0.42% to record 8.441 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.51% to record 11.607 points.
