Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday,24 February 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.66% to record EGP 485.051 bn compared to EGP 481.869 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.02% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 190.719 mn which represents 5.22% of the total trading volume today after 3.540 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.22% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.27% to reach 31.056 points EGX70 decreased by 0.02% to record 12.041 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.08% to record 8.772 points.
