Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 30 December 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.6% to record EGP 471.795 bn compared to EGP 474.494 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.90% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 337.678 mn which represents 13.97% of the total trading volume today after 9.282 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.85% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 10.91% to reach 29.700 points EGX70 decrease by 1.94% to record 8.155 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 1.68% to record 11.208 points.
