Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 28 October 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.2% to record EGP 458.444bn compared to EGP 457.444bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.59% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 1.070bn which represents 22.63% of the total trading volume today after 19.558 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.95% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.13% to reach 30.980 points EGX70 decrease by 0.08% to record 7.970 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.15% to record 11.208 points.
