Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 21 October 2024 with increase in the market cap by 2.3% to record EGP 440.953bn compared to EGP 430.941bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.08% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 276.659 which represents 6.52% of the total trading volume today after 5.866 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.80% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.10% to reach 30.445 points EGX70 increase by 2.07% to record 7.682 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 2.49% to record 10.852 points.
