Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 7 October 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.4% to record EGP 462.641bn compared to EGP 464.588bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.42% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 458.765mn which represents 8.13% of the total trading volume today after 8.924 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.14% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.31% to reach 32.184 points EGX70 increase by 0.18% to record 7.678 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.41% to record 10.982 points.
